I will start backwards commenting on the acknowledgements of the author. Devney Perry starts them by saying that she never intended to write this story and I am so glad she changed her mind because this book was fantastic. If you are a fan of the Jamison Valley series like me, I am sure you wished for Milo’s book and I have to tell you that it’s heartwarming, sweet and everything you desired.
If you have read the previous books you know that Milo had an accident and he was with Sara but now we get to know how they fell in love.
Their story has a background unique as they meet in the hospital where Milo is a patient after being burned and Sara is his nurse. Although, it’s forbidden , you never have the sense it’s something bad. Their relationship progresses naturally and calmly.
Milo is a man different when in pain but slowly you see his integrity and his honesty. Sara is kind, a woman who has the touch of healing. I love her compassion and her empathy.
This book won my heart because of the way this story unfolded. I have never read a book before about a victim of fire and it really touched me.
I am so happy that the author went back in our favorite series because it’s never enough getting to know more about our beloved characters!
