Tommy has started a new business providing bodyguards with his best mate and he is always up for adventure and mayhem. He is easygoing, ready to laugh and flirt and has nothing in common with the new girl he has to guard.
Abby is a studious, straightlaced girl with one focus; become the best surgeon. Being in a proper family of overachievers makes her life more difficult ,so there cannot be any distractions, even if it’s in the form of a hunk of a man.
Tommy cannot hide his attraction to the stuffy girl but he needs to break some walls. When Abby understands that he can help her unload her stress, they burn together. What starts as a relationship without complications, it becomes a loveable bond.
I loved how much these two connected. They are completely different but they are supportive of each other and so respectful of each other’s wants. They are hot but their quiet moments of togetherness made me smile so broadly. They are a united front against their families and the sociality’s barriers. I admire when an author like Emma manages to bring two opposite characters and make them one so beautifully.
