Jasper Vale by Devney Perry is the fourth book in “The Edens” series and I think my favorite so far! A fake marriage,a broody hero and a sweet heroine make this book really hot and cute!
Eloise has always known that her family’s hotel is hers. She works hard, she is responsible and no more mistakes must be made for her parents to trust her. Everything is going according to plan except one drunken night in Vegas brings back a stranger for a husband.
Jasper never wanted roots. His parents have disappointed him, his ex is toxic and his upbringing is troubling. When he ends up married with a sweetheart, he doesn’t know if he has to run or stay forever!
The reason why they stayed married was not really believable for me but when they started acting as real couple, they won me over. Eloise is loyal and caring but sometimes mellow when her family is considered. I loved that Jasper fought for her and with her to make a stand and that she did.
Jasper is not the perfect man. He is gruff, serious and a little cold at the beginning. He has an unhealthy past life but I really liked how he changed. Also, calling her his wife will make you swoon.
Devney Perry is known for her small town romance books and this one is even spicier! For fans of her writing, this one is a good one!
