New Review- The Love Plot by Samantha Young

Enemies to lovers, fake relationship and grumpy/sunshine trope? It is like Samantha Young took all of our favorite themes and put them in this book! The Love Plot is a fun and emotional book that will make you love it till the end!

Rafe is coming from a rich family and he is trying to make his dream come true as a veterinarian. He wants to follow his own path but his family is always getting in his business by sending him women to marry.

Star is coming from a hippie family and her motto is no strings attached. She is a line sitter and a professional costume actress and she has no place in her life for rude men.

When Rafe though proposes to her to be in a fake relationship so his family will stop nagging him, she is reluctant but the money is good.

These two are complete opposites. I have to say that Rafe appears in the beginning as mean but we slowly see that it’s his defense as he is shy. He is grumpy but lovely. Star is a true sunshine. She is energetic, optimistic and true to herself.

As their relationship progresses, we find out that these two have abandonment and betrayal issues that they have to fight but in their hearts, they need each other. I really liked that Rafe didn’t want Star to change. They accept each other as they are and I truly admired that fact.

The Love Plot is one of my most favorite books I have read this year!It is a fantastic rom com with all the charm and emotional depth that you need!
