Love Words from Max to Jessa- More to Love by Alison Bliss

This laugh-out-loud romantic comedy proves that, when enemies become lovers, all bets are off!

Jessa Gibson may be new in the little town of Granite, Texas, but in no time at all her gourmet food truck business is booming. Soon she’ll have enough money to open the restaurant of her dreams. But first, she’ll have to appease the hot local health inspector, no matter how strange his “violations” sound to her. No pink plastic gloves? Really?

Max Hager isn’t exactly who he says he is. Pretending to be a health inspector is a (mostly) innocent mistake. A mistake made way worse by Max’s immediate, electrifying attraction to the curvy, sexy, redheaded chef. Throw in a whole lot of lust, and things in Jessa’s little kitchen are about to really start heating up. But can Max find a way to come clean with Jessa before his little deception turns into a recipe for disaster?

Love Words From Max to Jessa

Dear Jessa,

Before I met you, I had the reputation of being a bit of a troublemaker. I know. Crazy, right? Okay, okay. You can stop rolling your eyes now. We both know I’ve done or said some things that I’m not proud of. If there was a pot to stir, I jumped right in and gave it a whirl. But that was before I learned my lesson.

The thing is, I don’t regret pretending to be the health inspector when I met you. Because, when you drove your gourmet food truck into town, you wrecked my world in the best way imaginable. You made me a better person, a man who had to prove to himself that he was good enough for you. I finally realized I could be brave enough to face my past and that I didn’t have to do it alone. Best of all, you don’t put up with my shit.

Until you came along, I never believed in fate and stars aligning. But now, I can’t imagine that it’s possible for two people to be more of a perfect fit. So this Valentine’s Day, I’m not going to ask if you will be mine. I already know the answer. But I do have one thing to ask. Can you please have another talk with your brother? He threatened my life again.

                                                                                                Love you,

                                                                                                Max

P.S. I’ve got a present for you, but it won’t fit in this envelope either.
