We have met Ian in the previous book and we know he is a man who plays hard and fights harder to have what he wants. He is an ambitious attorney who is not afraid to get dirty to get to the top. When he meets a beautiful blonde angel, he thinks he can have her without compromising his heart but he is so wrong.
Grace is a woman determined to fight with everything she has for one goal; to save her family. Ian might tempt her but he is more than a body to give her pleasure. He is a man who can be her hero but she has to convince him to open up.
Their relationship is combustible. There are rules to be broken but their attraction cannot be contained. They are a sensual couple and they are so hot together.
Grace is a sensitive and sensible woman. She has been through so much but she doesn’t give up. She knows what she wants and though Ian is a danger to her heart, she gives him a chance.
Ian is a man a little difficult. He has been hurt in his past so he is closed off. He is arrogant in his job and confident but in his soul he is a scared little kid. He needs to be loved to be cured and Grace and her family are perfect for him.
I love the sense of family the author depicts. No matter the hardships they are there for each other and they support without conditions. This book is about forgiveness and forgiving yourself.
Although this couple is explosive together and they have some emotional scenes, sometimes I could not connect with them fully. What I mean is that they both were hurt in their past and they didn’t want to surrender deeply but that they did and a little quickly for my taste. It was like they fell for each other at first sight and then they were unstoppable without thinking the consequences.
I love that this author writes about real people with everyday problems. They are mature and you can connect with them more.
A.L. Jackson wrote once again a heartwarming book that will touch you! I cannot wait to read the third book of this series about the gentle giant!
