This book couldn’t be named better! This is a romantic comedy that is charming, fun and witty. Codename Charming by Lucy Parker is a book that will make you laugh and if you like Beauty and the Beast, it has that too!
Pet is a personal assistant for a goofy royal who is prone to accidents. Matthias is responsible for the protection of the royal family but sometimes he finds himself protected by the tiny assistant. When the annoying paparazzi make up stories for the royals, a fake relationship between this couple is needed.
These two could not be different. Pet is bubbly, spontaneous and enthusiastic. Matthias is all about the rules, protective and has the silent type personality. Despite their differences in character and appearance, they are perfect for each other. I loved that Pet appreciated Matthias and she found him beautiful despite the general image the others had and Matthias opened up to her and was so generous with his feelings.
Lucy always writes entertaining scenes that will make you laugh but she also does not miss the sparks between the couple. Although, this book is comedy, there is emotional depth and painful moments to be shared.
I really liked this book and Lucy Parker is a writer that always works for me!
