Coming Up Roses by Staci Hart will entice you with its colorful cover but will win you with its words. This book is charming, fun and overall lovely. It has a romantic and sexy couple and secondary characters that fill the story with warmth and adorable moments.
Tess loves control, safety and order. She strives as a florist but the flower shop of her beloved mentor, Mrs. Bennett, is ready to close. When all kids of the Bennett family come back to help their mother and save the shop, Tess’ life comes upside down especially with the return of her nemesis-ex friend , Luke.
Luke likes to live free and wild without limits but he cannot say no to his mom. When he comes back to his childhood city, he doesn’t expect to want to be pinned down but Tess is the stability he needs.
These two are different and opposite but they complete each other. Tess is logical and stable and Luke is spontaneous and easygoing. Together they find the perfect balance through love and they get to find what they were missing out.
The secondary characters are adorable and I would love to see more of them.
The background of the flower shop is the ideal setting for a rom com and I loved the sense of family this book is about.
I would have preferred if the problem this couple faced was not of that kind but it is resolved quickly , so all forgotten.
Staci Hart is a relatively new to me author and I can say that she has become one of my favorite writers of romantic comedy. Her books are always entertaining, hot and make you smile!
