New Review- The Difference Between Us by Rachel Higginson

When I was reading “The Opposite of You” I was curious about Ezra and Molly and Rachel Higginson comes with “The Difference between Us” and gives us a story of love, self-discovery and fun!

Molly feels a little bit lost with her life. She is struggling with her job as a graphic designer, her painting that fulfills her is just a hobby and men have always disappointed her. She avoids conflict at all costs but Ezra, the beautiful owner of many famous restaurants, keeps pushing her buttons.

Ezra is a man in love with his job. He is successful, antagonistic and always gets what he wants. If only the colorful woman wouldn’t resist him in every turn…

Opposites attract and these two though different click like two pieces of a puzzle.  They might appear as oil and water but they have more in common than they think. They both have the need to love and be loved, they want to find a person to be there for them.

Molly is the typical next door girl who is trying to find her place in the world. She is shy, bubbly and has a lot of insecurities. Ezra is the one that makes her shine, making her feeling worthy. Her character made me laugh several times but sometimes I wanted to give her a push to be more courageous and do the right thing.

Ezra is a fantastic hero. Although, he appears as arrogant and cold in the beginning, the man is anything but… He is hardworking, confident but open to Molly. He truly bears his thoughts and his past to her.

I loved their relationship. They are funny, their sexual tension is hot and they bring out the best in each other.

This is a slow burn romance and I would have liked to see more of them as a couple or to see more interactions between them because their scenes are fantastic. As this book is only from Molly’s point of view, it is mostly her inner dialogue and I found her thoughts sometimes frustrating but every 20something person has all these doubts, so I justify somehow her chaotic, insecure mind.

One thing that the first two books have in common is the excitement they bring for the next story. I cannot wait to read the following book about Wyatt, the tattooed chef!

Ezra and Molly might have many differences between them but their chemistry and their love shines above all! Grab this book and enjoy the fight of two opposites falling in love!
