I love Kristen Callihan’s stories and this book “exposed” my heart to one of the sweetest friends to lovers story I have ever read! If you are a fan of the VIP series, then you know that the previous books were the foreplay for Brenna and Rye’s love story that did not disappoint!
Rye is the bassist of the Kill John band and always in fight with its manager, Brenna. These two have grown up together and there has always been tension between them. They have been frenemies forever with insults and sassy remarks back and forth.
When Rye overhears Brenna’s private chat about her craving for good sex, he is all for it. The sexy benefits are not though the only thing that comes from this relationship. Their sensual friendship soon becomes so much more showing that there is a bond that cannot break and love that shines.
I fell in love with Rye. We don’t see often rockstars be the ones that chase the girl. Rye is in love with Brenna and it shows with his actions. He truly knows her and understands her. Rye is sensitive, protective and caring. Brenna is a take charge woman and you can understand her dilemma between her career and love. She is strong, decisive and sometimes her pride gets in her way.
The band is hilarious together and the scenes between them is fun and sweet! I love the support they give each other!
I never would have thought that I would love this book like Managed, but Exposed takes the second place proudly! I am so ready for the next book for the mysterious band player, Whip!
