Leo is the player of the team, the football star who has every girl he wants but he is intrigued by his new roommate who hates his guts. Mary had been secretly in love with Leo until he destroyed her. Now she holds a mean grudge but the big softie slowly makes her forget it.
I loved the characters especially Leo. He is not what he seems. I swoon when the hero falls first for the girl and Leo is melting for her. He is so attracted to her and he is adorable. He is caring, protective and sexy. Mary is unapologetically herself. She is fun, sassy and takes no prisoners.
Their chemistry is off the charts hot. These two are meant for each other!
This story would have been a five stars read for me except this; the reason they break up in the end. I don’t want to spoil anything but I found Mary’s behavior unreasonable. When you are in love, feelings are heightened so you need to protect your person and that’ s what Leo did even if it was over the top. Communication in general is a must for me and sometimes these two missed it.
I hate seeing this series end but Kandi promises a new hockey romance series and I am all in!
