Corinne Michaels returns to her Salvation series and I couldn’t be happier. I have been waiting for Quinn and Ashton’s story and this duet is more than I expected. This author knows how to play with our hearts giving us a story heartbreaking but also healing. These two books have angst, romance, forgiveness and love.
The first book tricked me a little. Quinn and Ashton are together once again but this time our hero is here to court and win over his woman. There are sweet and romantic moves that make you swoon and somehow the author creates a sense of security and then BAM! The cliffhanger in the end comes as a bomb and you are left shocked.
Book Two has a complete different vibe where the couple has to find its new balance. It’s a little harder to read because the feelings are so realistic and honest.
Quinn is a wonderful hero. He is protective, patient and kind. Ashton is a woman fierce but also sensitive. I wanted to shake her for some of her choices but in the end everything works out perfectly.
Corinne Michaels is like a cat and we, her readers, are the prey. I always laugh when she says that she has written light books and then make us all cry. So I warn you that this duet will definitely move you. I even shed some tears that I don’t usually do.
I loved this duet and I can say that these two books come to the top between her stories. If you want your heart to break and then mend back together, this duet is perfect for you!
