New Review- Indigo Ridge by Devney Perry

New series, new favorite! Devney Perry starts The Edens series with a romantic suspense that keeps you on your edge of your seat and captures your heart!

Winslow moves to Quincy to be close to her grandfather and be the new chief of police. She is tough, smart and focused but the community sees her as an outsider. She surely does not need the gossip for hooking up with a sexy cowboy but the man is irresistible.

Griff is a member of one of the most important families in this little town and has no place for relationships in his life as he works all day in his ranch and supports his family. Winslow though keeps tagging at his heartstrings and suddenly “forever” with her is on his plate.

I loved both characters. Winslow is competent and strong but not difficult to relate to. She has her vulnerabilities and her hurtful past makes her more sensitive. Griff is a little arrogant in the beginning but the man knows when he is wrong. He is loyal, protective and kind.

I liked the development of their relationship. Their attraction is off the charts but the bond is there. You can see how they open up and feel the need they have for each other. Their relationship moves a little fast though despite the fact they both did not want a steady one.

The mystery element of this book was amazing. There is a series of odd suicides throughout the years and I admired that Winslow trusted her gut and did not give up. The twist in the end was good as I did not see it coming.

Indigo Ridge is a fascinating start to this promising small town romance series! I highly recommend it!
