Sara Ney’s stories make me happy and excited EVERY time! She is one of the best authors who know how to write humorous books and Jock Rule is sweet, funny and sexy!
Teddy is a good girl, a great friend and a hard worker. Her only problem is that everyone especially her so-called friends ignore her and take advantage of her kindness. She has not found her confidence to take some risks and she doesn’t think a hairy giant can help her but what can she lose?!
Kip comes from a wealthy family so he hides behind his unruly hair and a grumpy attitude so no one can explore him. He stays away from money hungry girls but the innocent little girl almost “screams” for his help. He can be her hairy godmother until he decides he wants to keep her.
This couple is extremely entertaining. They are adorable together and although there are so many funny scenes, there is this sweetness between them. They work as a couple and there is no drama. Teddy has an innocence that is cute and I loved Kip’s honesty. The man is brutally opinionated and despite the fact he might appear as a little arrogant, it’s really refreshing to see someone so open.
This book felt a little rushed sometimes and it was like they took a leap from friends to lovers a little quickly for my taste. Teddy also reacted a little oddly in some scenes but overall you smile with their quirky love story.
The thing I admire the most in Sara Ney is her ability to take underdogs and write their stories. They are not perfect characters but they are perfectly written.
Every time a new book comes by this author, I leave everything behind because her books need to be read. An author can provoke tears with some tricks but it takes true talent to make someone laugh and Sara Ney does it in spades!
