Kat and Cash are hot together. The heroine is a strong girl who is ambitious and has succeeded in making a great business. Cash is a decisive character, a little stubborn and a man that wants to find out more about his girl.
I am not a fan of friends to lovers because there is always one of them that ends up hurt in some way until the right click. In this case, it’s Kat who has been in love with him for so many years and Cash has seen her as a little sister. I am more fan of two friends that love each other in secret and then their relationship explodes. I wish I could have seen more of their past where they could have been some sparks but this was not the case. Suddenly, Cash finds her irresistible and that does not persuade me for a love deeper than friendship. Also, these two could have a better communication for me. When you decide to sleep with your best friend, you know that you have destroyed part of your friendship, so why not be more open with your heart since you do not have anything else to lose?
These books in this series are quick, light but with the right amount of angst. The backstory of childhood friends that lived in a junkyard is exciting and I am happy to read the next one!
