Rebel Hard by Nalini Singh is such an adorable and exciting story about life, choices, love and family. This is a story with Indian characters where their culture is different and you get swept up into a whirlwind romance.
Nayna is the good girl, the responsible accountant, the respectable daughter who never has disappointed her family. She always follows the straight path but enough is enough. She deserves one night of debauchery and then she can accept the arranged marriage her parents want for her.
Raj was just a little child when he was adopted so now he craves stability, a good family and a logical wife. When he seduces a little vixen in a party , he cannot stop of thinking about her but the sassy girl doesn’t want his marriage proposal so he has to convince her.
I really loved this couple and their relationship. Nayna is a smart woman who always obeys her parents and that is really admirable but she finds her courage to fight for her needs. I liked that she thought her steps thoroughly and she was not illogical in her requests. Raj is a straight forward man and I admired how much he fought for Nayna without smoldering her. He was always understanding of her needs and selfless. I loved that he put her before everyone else.
This might have been an arranged marriage but this couple puts the rules. Together they are different and they learn how to be more playful and despite the fact they are inexperienced, they burn the sheets.
This is the first time I read a book based on Indian families and I loved it. It’s full of colors, tastes and sweet shenanigans. This is a different culture than ours but being Greek I found many similarities between them. All the characters are so interesting that you get to love them all , flaws and all.
Rebel Hard is a colorful, sweet and hot romance story and I would love to see more of this world! Nalini Singh is a talented author and I find myself loving her contemporary romance books just as much as her paranormal!
