I have always liked Karla Sorensen’s books but “The Best of All” has become my favorite! If you are a fan of the movie “Life as we know it”, then you should definitely grab this story.
Liam and Zoe cannot stand each other but when their best friends pass away leaving them as co-guardians of a little girl, they must learn how to behave and cohabitate. Everything they know must be set aside as they have to be parents first and enemies later.
Liam is a total gruff. He lives for his sport and he has no room for sentiments. He has been hurt in the past so he is guarded but Zoe along the baby open up his heart slowly and gradually.
Zoe is also protective of herself after a nasty marriage and divorce but she is commited to her best friend’s kid, sweet Mira.
This is a super slow burn romance but you can see how Liam and Zoe start to trust each other and fall in love. Liam is really closed off but some scenes especially with Mira will definitely break your heart. Zoe is a logical woman who knows when to push and when to back off.
I would have loved to see them more as a couple but the personal growth especially for Liam is perfect!
I also have to say how much I loved the side characters especially the old ladies that helped Zoe.
Overall, I really liked this story and it made me curious for the next one!
