The Reality of Everything by Rebecca Yarros was everything I ever wanted! This book is mind consuming, captivating and heartwarming. This story will wreck you and heal you. It will put your heart in a vice and you will be blown away by the depth of the words.
Morgan has lost the man she loved in Afghanistan and cannot get over it. She is stuck in her grief and cannot move on with her life. So, she leaves everything behind and goes to Outer Banks where she gets a new house, a new job and a new beginning. It’s not easy to overcome her painful past but the sexy neighbor definitely makes things more interesting.
Jackson is a single dad with his daughter his main focus. He is a search and rescue pilot for coast guard and he is used to saving girls but not as lovely as his new neighbor. Her irresistible face makes him hot but her sad eyes make his heart beat quicker. Can he compete though with a ghost?
I loved the pace of this book. I am certain that some of the readers will get a little frustrated with Morgan’s resistance but if you put yourself in her shoes, everything will become clearer. The storyline is believable and they way they fall slowly in love relatable.
Morgan is a woman lost in her pain but it’s beautiful seeing her accepting her grief and moving on. She may be hurt but she is strong and stubborn. Jackson is one of the most lovable heroes I have read. He is a wonderful dad and a devoted boyfriend. His words are so romantic and his actions swooning.
The Reality of Everything is one of the best books I have read so far this year! I highly recommend the whole series as with each book it gets better and better!
