New Review- The Son and His Hope by Pepper Winters

After reading the Ribbon Duet, I have not been more scared to read a book but Pepper Winters writes beautifully so I couldn’t resist. The Son and his Hope is more than romance. It’s a story about life choices, a story about fear and love, a story that will break your heart and mend it right back. This is one of the strongest stories I have read because my soul was involved. The words erupted like a breeze through my thoughts and my feelings.

Jacob is the son of Della and Ren from the Ribbon Duet which I strongly suggest you read first. He is a boy and later a man who is broken and scared. There is no worst fear than losing your loved ones and Jacob prefers to be alone than live with sorrow. He keeps himself in a cage of solitude and loneliness until one fearless girl breaks his walls.

Hope is a girl who only wants to love the scared boy. She will do everything for him even if that means breaking her own heart.

Jacob is a boy you empathize with. He makes many mistakes but you forgive him because he is blinded by pain. Hope is a girl you will get to admire. It is not easy to love someone without wanting anything and this girl is so brave surrendering her heart. I was in awe of her.

I have to admit that while I was reading this book, I was anxious. I was so sad and I felt sorry for what the characters were going through. My heart was bruised, so get some tissues but let me tell you, you have to trust the author. It’s not an easy story but it will touch you so deeply and the epilogue is so fulfilling that only satisfaction remains.

The Son and his Hope is one of the best books I have read! Don’t be scared to read it because there is not anything stronger than love and hope and this book is a “Fine” example of that!
