The Sweetest Fix by Tessa Bailey is the perfect Valentine’s gift for romance lovers! This romantic comedy is sweet as a cake pop and hot like a molten lava cake.
Reese is a Wisconsin girl that moves to New York to become a dancer. A missed opportunity brings her to the director’s son, Leo but when she meets the gruff baker, she cannot exploit him. She lies to him so she believes that staying away from him would be best but their attraction only brings them closer.
Leo is good with baking but bad with people. When he sees though the delicate dancer, he wants to open up. He knows that she keeps a part of her hidden but he hopes that she will be his forever.
This couple is cute. Although there is insta-lust/love , it does not seem strange. They are so different but they click together. Leo is a delicious hero. He is brooding, silent but you can see that he is shy and not rude. He is just an introvert. Reese is a hardworking girl who tries to find her way. Her reasoning for lying was not convincing to me as she could clear things from the start but then how would the story move forward?
Their interaction between them is lovely but also sexy. Don’t be fooled that this might be only romantic. These two are combustible despite their calm relationship.
I wish everyone had a partner for Valentine’s day to bring them joy but if not, then the Sweetest Fix will make you dream for your own happily ever after!
