New Review- The Wreckage of Us by Brittainy Cherry

There is something magical in Brittainy Cherry’s writing; I always like her storylines but I always fall in love with her words. Her emotional pen in The Wreckage of Us made my heart beat harder . This book is about a young couple that connects despite all the hardships. It is romantic, funny and with the right amount of angst.

Hazel has lived a lonely and difficult life with her addict of a mother. When she is kicked out of the only home she knows, she finds a job and shelter in a ranch. Ian is the grandson of her boss and the one resposible for showing the work. These two do not get along at first but slowly they become friends.

Hazel helps Ian writing the lyrics for his music band and he supports her whenever needed. These two make a really lovely couple. They are young but they know what they have is something unique.

Hazel is a fighter, a stubborn girl who does not give up. I admire her work ethics and how hard she tries for everything. Ian is a little gruff in the beginning but he does not abandon his family, his friends and of course his girl! The things they go through are so difficult for such a young age but they overcome their problems together. There is only little drama due to miscommunication otherwise this book is really sweet.

The secondary characters won me over especially Ian’s grandfather. It’s always nice seeing a family truly caring for each other.

Brittainy Cherry once again poored her soul in her writing, so I suggest you should read this raw love story!
