Willa has a crush for Jackson for so many years but she is invisible to him. When a fateful night he kisses her , she believes in a new beginning but the man forgets about it and she is angry and ready to move on.
Jackson had never noticed the little blonde until now… He can’t forget her but this is the first time a woman rejects his flirting. He just needs to convince her that they can be good together even if it’s temporary.
On contrary to other books, in this one I fell in love with the heroine. She starts as shy but throughout the book we see her strength and her confidence. She is a decent person with a great family and a fighter. I admired that despite her lack of experience she does everything right and she doesn’t give up. She knows when to respect Jackson’ s limits and when to push.
As for Jackson, this man has vulnerabilities and I think the title timid is more about him than Willa. Because of his past he is scared that everyone will leave him so he makes some mistakes trying to not get hurt. I really liked that no matter his upbringing he is protective of those he cares about and he cares a lot and deeply even if he can’t express his feelings openly.
Their relationship is sweet and adorable. They are perfect for each other and the pace of their bond is believable.
Their families are such an important part of this story and I admired how supportive everyone is especially Willa’s parents.
This author’s books work for me! They have beautiful love stories and Timid is heaven for romantic souls. I cannot wait to read the next one, Tragic, which promises to be truly touching!!!
