It’s not easy to face a divorce especially when the ex is a terrible man with a new, young and very much pregnant wife . Returning to her hometown and being close to her family is the only way for her to feel more stable but falling in love with Henry, another newly divorced man, brings more chaos into her life.
If you thought that two people a little broken from a divorce would fall in love slowly and quietly, you could not be more wrong. Henry and Sylvia are combustible together! Although, they both have been hurt by their exes, they cannot resist each other. They just know that they are right for each other but they have many obstacles to overcome.
Sylvia is a reserved woman that puts her kids first so it’s not easy to navigate falling in love so instantly with a man. Henry likes Sylvia from the start and though he cannot keep his hands off her, he knows to respect her boundaries.
I loved how much understanding there was in the relationship, especially from Henry’s part. Sylvia has two confused and hurt children to think about but with Henry she feels wanted again, a sexy woman and not only a mom. Henry might be a silent kind of hero but the man has moves especially in the bedroom, or the office, or everywhere… lol…
Despite the fact they shed their clothers quickly, the way they fall in love is slowly built. It’s a quiet, intense bond where both partners open their hearts and share their past.
Every woman deserves a man who loves her and protects and cares for her completely and deeply and this story is all about that! I am addicted to Melanie’s books and everytime I read one book, I am left wanting more!!!
