New Review- Bad for You by J. Daniels

J.Daniels just wrote the best book in her series “Dirty Deeds”! I liked the previous books but “Bad for You” is a story that will grab you from the start. I have been waiting excitedly for this book but it surpassed my expectations. It’s deeply emotional with the best tortured hero and a delightful heroine that will help him find himself.

Sean “Stitch” Molina has been cooking at Whitecaps restaurant trying to bring around his life. He is quiet, broody and he doesn’t want anyone to come closer. He just wants his quiet moments and being left alone. All the waitresses keep teasing him but there is one colorful girl that wants his friendship and even more but he cannot have that.

Shayla is content with her life just waitressing and trying to build a name for herself as the best hairdresser in her town. She is happy but she would be even happier if the gruff cook would stop rejecting her. After giving her the silent treatment she has enough but suddenly he surprises her but offering her help she desperately needs.

I cannot tell you how much I loved this couple. I love “tortured” heroes and Sean has been through so much. Although, he is abrupt the man has a kind heart and he doesn’t struck out to the others. He feels like he is nothing when he has so many things to offer. He is sensitive and his painful scenes broke my heart. He is a good man that had to do bad things out of necessity. He has to forgive himself and find his worthiness and Shay brought out his best assets.

Shay is a girl you would want to have as a best friend. She is bubbly, sweet and happy. She has this positivity in her that she spreads around. She is a loving, understanding woman that sacrifices for those she loves.

Their relationship has been brewing for some time and though this is a slow burn romance their bond and their love is vast. They share secrets and little touches that mean so much. The author succeeded in creating this intimacy between them that is not based only on their physical attraction. There are some scenes of this couple that really moved me and made me cry.

This book has just been added to my “favorite” books lists and I highly suggest it! Now I anticipate for the next one in the series about two interesting characters.
