New Review- Kissing the Boss by Linda Kage

If you like books based on fairytales, then Kissing the Boss by Linda Kage is a great choice for you. It’s a fun, cute story with a bit of spice with parallelism to Cinderella and who doesn’t love this fairytale?

Kaitylin has a stepmother who hates her and makes her work as a slave in her belated’s father company. She does anything to satisfy her but the woman is just unbearable. When she attends a company party she is wildly attracted to a mysterious stranger. Sparkles fly but she suddenly realizes he is her boss and her stepmother’s crush.

Ezra is a man who has everything. He has money , a beautiful home and a successful company. When he meets an adorable girl his life becomes better but they have so many obstacles to overcome.

Kaitlyn is the perfect “Cinderella”. She is optimistic, hardworking and sensitive. She is a little bit naive but she is cute in a way. Ezra is kind , caring and sexy. I like that he shows another side to her in comparison with the image he shows as a businessman. Their relationship is sweet without missing its sexy side.

They moved a little fast for my taste and it a was a little bit unrealistic at times but it was written full of humor so it made me laugh.

The secondary characters are truly interesting and I hope we see their stories. There is also a cameo from the couple from book 1 and it is nice reconnecting with them.

A pair of shoes, an evil stepmother and a great couple full of love makes this a fun modern fairytale that will leave you with a smile.
