New Review- The Night Mark by Tiffany Reisz

I haven’t read a book before by Tiffany Reisz but this story about time travel for love intrigued me. This is an emotional, spiritual book focused more on the healing of the soul than the actual romantic relationship. It’s all on the name of love but it left me more with a taste of hope and that there is something more out there.

Faye is heartbroken, numb from the loss of her husband and her unborn children. She has lost her will to live and her purpose. Every day is a struggle for her until she finds shelter in a picturesque village. There is something in the damaged lighthouse and its history that calls her heart.

A journey through time will bring her unexpectedly in 1921 in the path of the lighthouse keeper that looks exactly like her first lost love. Carrick might have the same face as her beloved husband but the man has his own story to tell.

I don’t want to spoil the mystery of this book but I have to tell you that it kept me on my toes. It’s all about undying love and fate and how can love heal the hurt of the soul.

I would have loved to see these characters connect more as a couple but their bond is quiet and intense at the same time.

Faye is a woman ready to fight for her happily ever after, she has strength and she is fearless. She might be sad in the beginning but when she falls in love with Carrick, she has sass and humor. Carrick on the other hand is a man protective and with the qualities of a gentleman. He is generous with his heart and understanding.

The best asset of this story is the writing. It has great flowing and the author paints you images like a movie. The scenery and the era come alive through the words.

If you would like to read a book with an original love story that focuses on the light in a world of darkness, then give this one a try! It might be a time travel romance book but you will certainly travel through a myriad of feelings!
