Kerrigan Byrne is back with the Goode sisters and now it is the turn of the black sheep of the family, Honoria. It is not often seeing a story about a “fallen” woman but the author brings an exciting love story that will make you forget all of her “sins”.
Honoria is the oldest daughter of her family so when her father announced her marriage to a stranger, she had to obey. That brings a broken heart, a sadistic marriage and her on the verge of dying. Only a man can save her and that is Dr Titus Conleith.
Titus has been in love with Honoria since he was a kid. They shared a young love affair but after rejecting him as he was beneath her as the help, they never crossed paths again. One fateful night she is brought to his table bleeding to death. He saves her life but she can destroy his heart.
I loved seeing them falling in love as teenagers. They were sweet together. Now they both have matured and have different experiences. Honoria is a character unlikable from the previous book, so it is nice seeing her under a different light. I did not agree with her decisions but being a female during those times is challenging. Titus on the other hand stole my heart. Seeing his deep love as a kid and a man is inspiring. He is truly devoted and he is not afraid to fight for her.
I was giddy reading about the two younger Goode sisters. They are delightful characters and I was happy with where the author will take their stories!
This series is getting better and better and I am so ready for the next books!
