Margot is a city girl, a socialite, a rich girl with a path written by others. When she starts seeing that this life is not what she wants and brings her cycle upside down with her shenanigans , she retreats to a farm to do her job as a social media manager and PR expert.
There she finds the aggravating man , Jack, who wants nothing to do with her and her job. He is moody, uncooperative but so sexy. He doesn’t want her advice, he doesn’t like changes.
Jack has left the army broken but the loss of his wife has completely destroyed him. He works hard and he wants to be left alone. He punishes himself by staying isolated. When the beautiful, sophisticated girl comes into his life, he doesn’t know if he wants to strangle her or kiss her. Their attraction is burning but he feels guilty letting go.
They start a turmoil affair but as they start getting to know each other, feelings are involved.
Margot is one of the cutest female characters I have ever read. She is book smart, business savvy and so adorable with her goofiness. She has a gift with people and she is so generous with her heart.
Jack is a guy rough around the edges. He is country all the way with a raw masculinity. He has physical strength but he guards his heart. He has to get rid of his guilty conscience and Margot is the perfect woman to help him.
Love can make you find a way out of the darkness and into the light and Melanie succeeds in giving us the best example with this couple. I have to finish my review by saying about the end, which was one of the sweetest things I have read. I am really content right now after this story and it officially became this author’s best work.
